Called About Medical Packet Status

I was starting to wonder what was happening with my medical packet seeing that I got my dental clearance already even though I had to send in additional paperwork. I left a msg with the medical office and got a call back about 3 hours later. They told me that my packet will be up for review in the near future and I should be hearing back shortly about it. I also found out who my Placement Officer was after asking the medical assistant for that information. I'm starting to get anxious and annoyed about how long this application process is taking.

Received Dental Clearance

I got an email this morning saying that my application status had been updated. I am now dentally cleared to serve in the Peace Corps. I was hoping it was something a little more significant like medical clearance or maybe even possibly an invitation. Oh well...I guess dental clearance is a step in the right direction.

Alcohol/Drug Questionaire Officially Received by Peace Corps

I made a phone call to the Placement Eligibility Specialist to make sure that he received my personal statement and questionaire. He told me that he did not, which got me a little worried so I resent it. I got a reply back about 10 minutes later with a confirmation saying that he received it. I was starting to get scared for a bit...

Emailed Alcohol/Drug Questionaire and Personal Statement Back to Peace Corps

I completed the alcohol & drug questionaire and my personal statement regarding MY DUI back to the Placement Eligibility Specialist. It took longer than I expected to complete because I kept thinking the personal statement I was sending just wasn't good enough. Anyway, it's finally done and has been emailed.

Dental Packet Mailed Back to Peace Corps

I went to my dentist and picked up my custom fitted mouthpiece for my supposed case of bruxism. My dentist also wrote me a letter that the Peace Corps required confirming that the mouthpiece came in. He also wrote that I didn't have bruxism and that the Peace Corps dentist should have seen that if he looked at my x-rays a little more closely. After the appointment I stopped by the post office and dropped off the dental packet.
